Mission
Raleigh SCORE is dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and encouraging the formation, growth and success of small business by providing outstanding, FREE counseling and low cost educational workshops to start-ups and small businesses in Wake & Durham counties.
History
SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association, founded in 1964, dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business. SCORE is a partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
The Raleigh Chapter of SCORE has provided free and confidential business counseling to existing and new business owners, in the Raleigh metropolitan area for over 40 years.
The chapter has grown from a handful of counselors to about sixty dedicated counselors, who have experience in a wide range of industries from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses.
The chapter started with one location in Downtown Raleigh and has grown to seven locations in Wake County. We now also cover Durham County and will be expanding into Johnston County in the near future.
